Mid-Autumn Festival: High School Version

So right after my unimates mid-autumn festival version, I had another high school version in the weekends. We bought Wendy's chicken and nuggets and brought them to the playground. Eating them with our bare hands just like happy kids again. We were so hungry that most of us were busy layaning our chickens only and not the lantern. Hahaha!

So on average I've known these girls for 7 years. Unbelievable it's been this long already, but they were all my former table neighbors, that after we graduated, our friendship got even closer. We spent time on road trips, most of the time karaoke-ing, shopping and eating good food and also a lot of gossip session. That's how girly we are from the girls' school. lol.

We were all from different courses different industries & fields, separated by oceans and thousands of miles and different time zone, we still could find similar topics. Now that we are all being reunited again back at the same place, our friendship still hold strong. Soooo happy now that I could meet up with them on the most spontaneous time day ever. They are the best ever that happened during my high school days. :)))

Mid-Autumn Festival: Unimates version

Ohaii, looks like it's been a few months since my last updates. I've slowly lose my blogging mode. I guess I will just need to revive this habit again.

So last week, we had a steamboat gathering + lantern playing to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival together. It's Khairul's first experience in playing lantern, glad that he shared the fun with us. So we spent our time after dinner at the playground struggling lighting up candles and carefully playing with the lanterns so that we didn't burnt them down. Playing on the swing and see-saw. That night was the night we were a bunch of 22 yrs old reviving our childhood at the playground, having our fun till the night is late.

We had been friends for 4 years now, friends that I've made since the start of my college days. They are the people that I talk to frequently, people that I hang out with, people that I have fun with and people that I share my happiness and frustration with, and most importantly people that I annoyed them a lot. Hehehe! Now that we were all going on a separate ways, we don't get to eat lunch everyday anymore, there's still a bond that holds us strong.

I am glad I have you guys, accompany me throughout my college days giving me the best days of my life. So much love for you all. That night we were all happy kids!

#60: CNY'13 Bff-s Version

This year is kinda special because I got to celebrate the last day of CNY with the #bff-s. So grateful and glad they exist in my life and being such awesome friends. :') Glad that this small lil' steamboat makan-makan works out. Even though it's just few of us. and finally a toast to a better year. x

#60: CNY'13 Family Edition

So this year CNY we had something special, having gifts exchange which we usually practice during Christmas. But since we did not have a Christmas family gathering last year, we decided to delay our gift exchange to CNY. Hahah so awesome right. Steamboat is a tradition in our family where we have 3 meals of steamboat a day which last for at least 3 days -___- Seriously steamboat overloaded and what more am not a fan of it at all. Hmm.

Dear Daddy

Dear Daddy,

It's gonna be the 7th CNY without you. You've been staying in heaven for 77th months, how are you doing up there. I know I haven't been talking to you a lot lately, in fact I couldn't remember when was the last time I talk to you. Daddy, am always afraid that one day I would forget your face, so I usually sit up on the bed at night before sleeping, thinking all about you, letting out the tears. Daddy, since you've gone, our reunion dinner had been a quiet one only spending with kor and mummy. There's no more steamboat like we usually had when you were here. We usually had vegetarian food for reunion dinner that were offered to you for prayers in the morning. I remember there's once we bought three boxes of dinner set from KFC, and each of us had one and that's our reunion dinner. That was real fun, finger lickin good KFC for reunion dinner. Mummy no longer washed/cleaned the house till minutes striked 12am to CNY anymore like we always did because I have learned how to help out with all the housework. It was stressful those days right? haha! Daddy, am sure you are proud with me since your lil' girl had learned how to do housework. Ahh, I remember those days you kept complaining to your sisters (my aunts) bout how me as a girl but never do any housework. But now, after having reunion dinner, we would relax on the couch watching the television on CNY countdown. Most of the time, me and kor would be lying on the couch till midnight since there's this saying that children should stay up as late as possible during the CNY eve to ensure that their parents' longevity. Not sure how true it is but me and kor would try to stay up as late as possible. As usual, mummy would dozed off while watching tv and went to bed the moment the clock strike 12am. Daddy, since you've left, CNY is no fun anymore. I don't really get or understand all the hype about decorating the house, buying endless new stuff and spending lotsa money just for the festival. I find it wasting money instead. Just a simple one will do. I don't find it as meaningful as I find it last time. It's just different without you. This year, it would still be a quiet one but I know you will always be with us. Happy CNY Daddy!

Love you always & forever,
your lil' girl.
